- - - - overall personality, Initially, Rebekah may act a bit spiteful, erratic, and vindictive. She is also very stubborn, and it was her stubbornness that was heightened when she was turned. However, Rebekah uses this as a cover for her big heart. For example, she mourned her mother's death for years after it happened. For centuries, Rebekah spent all of her time with Niklaus which created a strong bond between them. However, even though she is dependent on him, she hates when he makes decisions for her, when anybody makes decisions for her.
Due to all of the heartbreak and betrayal, Rebekah formed this wall around her heart. She protects it with being cruel, and aggressive. Underneath all of that though, she is really quite fragile. She is, at her core, a girl who lost her mother too young. A girl who will love blindly and recklessly, even if it completely eats her up. Although, she has become very mistrustful of people who try to be her friend, or may harbor feelings for her because she's afraid they will hurt her like her brother does.

- - - - overall history, Rebekah is the sixth of seven children by Mikeal and Esther. The eldest died in the Old World, and Henrik died by werewolf attack, making her the youngest still alive. After Henrik died, her mother, the Original Witch, couldn't bare to have anymore children taken from her. She used a spell to turn the rest of her children into immortal creatures. After drinking wine laced with human blood, Rebekah's father, Mikeal, ran a sword through her heart, killing her. When they woke, they found themselves immortal, but eternally hungry. Thus, she became a vampire. The first vampires. The only female immortal. The Original Sister. It wasn't long after that that her mother was killed. Niklaus told her it was their father, and she wouldn't realize until centuries later that it was really Niklaus himself that killed their mother.
A few centuries later, in Italy, Rebekah fell in love with a man named Alexander. Little did she know that Alexander was part of a clan of Hunters called The Five, whose sole existence was created to get rid of all vampires. He even told her of a cure for vampirism. Rebekah and Alexander planned to get married, but before they could, Alexander found out she was a vampire. He, and the four others, daggered her and her siblings while they were asleep. Since Niklaus was unaffected because of his werewolf side, he killed all five of them, and undaggered his siblings. Even though she was betrayed by Alexander, she buried him with his sword at the church where they planned to get married. She lost most of her humanity after the events that occurred.
She then moved to England with Elijah and Niklaus a few centuries later. There she met Katerina Petrova for the first time. After Katrina escaped and caused a rift between her brothers, Rebekah held a grudge against her. Three hundred years later, the three siblings moved back to the New World, and settled along the Mississippi River, in New Orleans. The Original family then built the entire Port of Orleans by themselves, and made the city great. It was there that she fell in love again. This time with the Governor's son, Emile. When begging for her brother's permission, he laughed and then killed the boy saying no one was good enough for her. Though, Klaus showed how protective he is over his little sister, she was still hurt that he killed someone she loved.
That's when they found, and Klaus practically adopted a slave boy who he named Marcellus. The boy became part of the family, and as he grew he developed a crush on Rebekah. It wasn't until he was an adult, that she returned his affections. However, Klaus did not approve. Because he did not have it in him to kill his best friend, he decided to dagger Rebekah instead. She was inactive for fifty-two years before he removed the dagger from her heart. When she awoke, she found that Marcel had chosen vampire life over her, and she was heartbroken again. Elijah had to help reintegrate her into New Orleans society. She and her brothers lived in New Orleans happily, until Mikeal showed up, burned their town to the ground, and ran them out of it.
After New Orleans, it was only Niklaus that Rebekah spent her time with. They moved around until finally settling in Chicago in the twenties. There she met Stephan Salvatore, and immediately fell for him. Everything seemed to be going well, especially since Klaus thought of Stephan as a friend. That was until Mikeal found them, and tried to kill them. Before they had to leave, Rebekah tells Klaus that she wanted to stay with Stephan. Klaus didn't like that and proceeded to dagger Rebekah for the next ninety years.

Then she heard the sound of footsteps. They were down the corridor on the other side of the painting and a wall. She smirked to herself. Of course, it had to be Javier, but it was always a pleasing thought that no human could actually sneak up on her. She could still hearing the snoring from one of the Nott's children in the Slytherin common room. There were also two Hufflepuff girls that were not yet asleep in their common rooms. No, she couldn't hear all the way up to the towers, but she didn't feel that that was a downfall. They would be too far away to do anything to her.
The footsteps stopped outside the door. The blond Slytherin could hear his heartbeat, and it wasn't exactly normal. She didn't think much of it. He must have been tickling the painting. Then the door open. The first thing out of his mouth was straight to business. Typical Javier. She turned to look over her shoulder at him, and rested her chin on it. “Typical seriousness, professor.” She practically snorted at the mention of calling him professor. It was hard enough to keep herself from laughing when she used it during class. The idea of calling someone whom she had known intimately in another time was just laughable. Plus, she doubted there was much that he could teach her in the class that she didn't already know. After all, he was teaching students how to protect themselves from... well.. her. Needless to say, she could ace it with her eyes closed.
She watched him pull out a bottle of wine, and a small spark appeared in her eye. Vampires and their alcohol. “Don't mind if I do.” She poured some wine into her glass, and put it next to her, now empty, blood bag. “Yes, there was something I needed to talk about.” There was a familiar playfulness in her voice. Then she took a sip of wine, and smacked her lips. “Brings back memories doesn't it.” Many nights in the kitchen. Many occasions of wine indulgence. She put the glass down, and it clinked on the wood.
“Anyway.” She cut the memory lane down short. “It seems that now I have two small problems that could potentially arise.” Her emerald eyes twinkled, and she put as much charm into her expression and words as she could. Angeline had a feeling that his feathers might get a little ruffed when she told him about her more pressing issue. Although that was more of an annoyance that needed to be reigned in. The other one was looming in the distance like an awful hurricane that would not come for a few days, but would definitely destroy a few plantations. [/ul][/ul]
