- - - - overall personality, when caroline was human she was the queen bee of mystic falls high. she was the captain of the cheerleaders, dance committee chairwoman, miss mystic falls, and a general leader among her peers. care was one of the most popular girls in school. however, the high social prestige and confidence were just the outer shell. underneath all of that, caroline was a barrel of insecurities. she was neurotic, controlling, and an overachiever. she always felt like she was competing with elena, for popularity, and especially over guys. she always felt like she could never say or do the right thing to make them fall in love with her.
after she was turned, caroline blossomed. she became strong and fearless. it made her more responsible, mature, and protective. after killing a man, she appreciated life a lot more. she became a master at self-control. over time, she realizes that she much prefers the woman she is now than the insecure, controlling girl she was before she was killed by katherine.

- - - - overall history, caroline was born on october 10th to elizabeth and bill forbes. growing up, she became close friends with elena gilbert, bonnie bennett, and matt donovan in school. after elena's parents died and the salvatores came to town, she developed a crush on stephan. when stephan rejected her for elena, caroline ran to his older brother damon for comfort. he compelled her to feed off of her. when elena finally convinced her that damon was no good for her, she started dating matt. not long afterwards, she was in a severe car accident. the only way to save her was for damon to feed her some of his blood to heal her injuries. however, before she could be released from the hospital, katherine came and killed her, effectively turning her into a vampire, and katherine's spy.
because of her new vampiric nature, she ended up breaking up with matt. no longer tied to matt, she was free to help tyler lockwood in dealing with the fact that he was transitioning into a werewolf. she helped him through his first full moon, and he realized that he loved her. a new pack of wolves came to mystic falls where they wanted to get revenge on damon for the death of mason lockwood. in the process of trying, they captured caroline and shot her with a wooden bullet before locking her in a cage. she was saved from the cage by tyler, but a warlock saved all of the vampires from the wolves. when tyler tries to apologize for almost leaving her in the cage, she gets angry and tells her they are no longer friends. after, tyler decides to leave mystic falls and tells matt to treat care better because she deserves it. following a fight with the warlock that saved them, caroline tells matt that she's a vampire. he freaks out and blames her for vicki's death, she tries to convince him that she had nothing to do with it, and it takes him a little time to believe her. caroline tried to compel matt to forget everything, but he was on vervain and told elizabeth all about the vampire thing.
after tyler came back to town, he and care were to be used in the breaking of klaus's hybrid curse. Unfortunately, two others were used in their place, and klaus was able to undo the curse. matt broke up with care because he couldn't deal with the vampire thing. tyler comforts her, and they became friends again. at elena's birthday party, caroline got protective over tyler, after he asked her about it they ended up sleeping together. that was when carol got suspicious, shot caroline with vervain, and called her father to come deal with her. he trapped and tortured her to try to get her to associate blood with pain. her mother, and tyler saved her.
during senior prank night, rebekah shows up, and knocks out caroline as klaus is turning tyler into a hybrid. now that he's a hybrid, caroline has to cover his tracks because he's being sloppy. turns out it was because rebekah got into tyler's head with a blood bag, and then tried to take over care's cheerleading squad. she gets involved in plot to get rid of the ghosts haunting the town, and a plan to kill klaus, so that tyler won't be sired to him anymore. A few days after the plan fails, klaus gives caroline a birthday gift, thus creating the klaus-caroline-tyler love triangle.
- - - - rp sample, She heard the creature walking. It's steps were slow, almost hesitant. She heard it's breathing. It's lack of heartbeat. It was definitely dead. The steps came closer. Closer. They were on the porch. The wood creaked under the weight of the creature on her property. She could feel the anticipation in her body. All of her muscles tightened up. She was ready to pounce like a wild cat. A compressed spring. The hand was one the doorknob. It turned. The door opened. She froze.
All of the feral tension in her body froze in place like she was dipped in liquid nitrogen. If an outsider would have seen her face, they would have sworn she saw a ghost. The creature stepped over her threshold, and then all of her thoughts disappeared. She couldn't think of a single thing it could be. It wasn't a ghost. It wasn't transparent. The blond's body was in shock. Like a human who touched icy water, and couldn't function. Angeline had been shoved into icy water. What was this creature that looked so much like her... “Brother.” The word came out completely inaudible, and yet it crashed down on her ears like a Banshee's scream.
In a fraction of a second, her body unfroze. All of that tension released. She sprung into action faster than she had ever moved before. Angeline grabbed the creature by his shirt, and threw him to the ground. She stepped over him, her face pinched, eyes blood red, fangs protruding, wand at his throat. “WHO ARE YOU?!” She screamed. “Who are you!? What are you!?” Why do you look like my brother? The last question didn't come out, but it was one that she pondered harder than the others. Her brother was dead. She saw him get shot back in America. After she rushed to his side, she found there was nothing she could do. Miguel was gone. So why was there a creature in her foyer that looked exactly like him? [/ul][/ul]
